Six Mile Baptist Church is located approximately 8 miles south of Hemphill on Highway 87, in the piney woods of East Texas. We are less than a mile from the beautiful shores of Lake Toledo Bend. If you are planning a visit to the lakes area or even contemplating moving or retiring here, we encourage you to come and visit us and prayerfully consider making Six Mile Baptist Church your church family and home. GREAT COMMISSION: MATTHEW 28:19 – 20 :“GO YE THEREFORE AND TEACH ALL NATIONS, BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY GHOST; TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THINGS WHATSOEVER I HAVE COMMANDED YOU; AND LO, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, EVEN UNTO THE END OF THE WORLD.” THE
GREAT COMMANDMENT: MATTHEW 22: 37 – 39: “THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART, WITH ALL THY SOUL AND WITH ALL THY MIND. THIS IS THE FIRST AND GREAT COMMANDMENT.
